The program includes therapeutic procedures in three main areas – cardiology, neurology and general therapy. During the 12-day course, the veterans will attend therapeutic exercise classes, massage sessions, and undergo cardiovascular system diagnostics and other types of examination. In addition, medical advice will be provided by such specialists as neurologist, endocrinologist, nutritionist and physiotherapist. The program costs including accommodation and meals are covered by the Company and the Fund.

“The Baikal-Amur Railway veterans made an immense contribution to the development of the Ust-Kutsky district and our region in general. We just could not leave the 50th anniversary of the railway unnoticed. With this healthcare program, we mean to express our gratitude and care for the veterans’ health. We always strive to participate in the life of the territories where INK operates and take into account the wishes of the local communities,” said Lyudmila Bogdalova, director of the charity fund.

Fifty people are already taking the healthcare course. Alongside medical treatment, the administration of the “Angara” resort prepared some cultural and entertaining activities, such as theater and museum outings and trips to Lake Baikal.
