Nonprofit, budgetary, community organizations of the Ust-Kutksy, Nizhneilimsky, Kirensky, Katangsky districts of the Irkutsk Region and the Mirninsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) may apply on the website www.inkgrant.ru.

The grant award funds are to be used for implementing projects of social significance in the field of education, sports, culture, environment conservation, traditional culture preservation, support of local indigenous communities and people with disabilities.

This year, the contest features new areas of focus in line with the National Inclusivity Agreement, which INK joined in October 2023: these are creation of an accessible environment and conditions for people with disabilities.

The grant fund is expected to double in 2024 to extend support to even more projects. “This year, it’s the fifth anniversary of the grant contest The Energy of Native Land. We see it as another opportunity to support projects that will improve the standards of living in the region. We have supported more than 30 initiatives since 2019, many of which have developed into big successful projects. Starting from this year, residents of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are also welcome to take part. The growing geography of the contest will help support more high-potential initiatives to improve the living standards in towns and villages,” said Evgeny Milov, managing director for legal affairs and regional policy, member of the Executive Board.

Winners of the contest will be announced in the end of December 2023. Alongside project financing, they will get methodological and expert assistance.
