Prevention and Response to Emergency Situations

The INK Group has adopted the Group’s Policy on Civil Defense and Emergency Situations aimed primarily at preventing and minimising the risks of emergencies. A system of measures to prevent, respond to and eliminate the consequences of accidents of natural and man-made origin is in place.

Commissions for prevention and response to emergencies and fire safety have been established, which function as an element of the Unified State System of Prevention and Response to Emergency Situations. Commissions govern the full range of issues related to the prevention of accidents and emergencies.

Dedicated ad hoc emergency rescue teams are put together in companies of the Group to address issues in the field of civil defence and emergencies. Regular drills are held in which operational services practice joint actions in case of accidents and incidents.

Office buildings and production facilities are provided with local warning systems, special reserves of resources in case of emergencies are created, and measures to protect the life of employees and the functioning of organizations in an emergency are developed and implemented.

The INK Group conducts a mandatory set of activities on ongoing basis in order to identify, analyse and predict the risk of accidents and related threats, as well as to adjust measures to mitigate these risks in a timely manner.

All employees of the INK Group undergo training in civil defense and emergency situations, annual training and an exam in the online system “Olympox,” which allows to remotely check and consolidate the necessary knowledge, regardless of the physical location of the employee. In 2020, 4,905 people were trained in civil defence and emergency situations — almost half of the Group's employees.
